A category 4 scholar died after falling off a swing on the varsity premises in Odisha’s Jajpur district on Saturday, police mentioned.
The deceased boy was recognized as Soumyaranjan Sahu of Bagapatia Higher Major college underneath Danagadi block.
The ten-year-old boy was enjoying on a swing with a few of his associates throughout college hours when he immediately fell and sustained vital accidents. He was rushed to a close-by hospital the place docs declared him lifeless on arrival, police mentioned.
Soumyaranjan’s household and locals blamed carelessness of the lecturers for his loss of life. They allegedly detained the lecturers after the incident and demanded strict motion towards them, police added.
Bagapatia Higher Major College has 72 college students and 5 lecturers together with the headmaster, official sources mentioned.
“That is an unlucky incident. We can not compensate for the irreparable loss. Nevertheless, we will definitely advise all the faculties within the block to take obligatory precautions to keep away from such accidents throughout college hours,” mentioned Subhranshu Puhan, block schooling officer of Dangdi.
