Beijing | Bengaluru: ByteDance founder Zhang Yiming has stepped down as chairman, an individual with direct information of the matter informed Reuters.
He had stepped down as chief govt of the TikTok guardian in Might this 12 months. New CEO Liang Rubo will tackle the position of chairman, the individual cited above stated.

On Tuesday, Liang introduced a serious organisational reshuffle at ByteDance by creating six enterprise items:
- TikTok and its Chinese language model Douyin
- Work collaboration unit Lark
- Enterprise companies unit BytePlus
- Gaming unit Nuverse
- Schooling tech unit Dali Schooling
Liang additionally stated TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew will step down as its guardian ByteDance’s chief monetary officer to give attention to operating the short-video platform full time. Chew joined ByteDance as CFO in March and was appointed as TikTok CEO in Might.
