Following the dissolution of Mattress Tub & Past’s Canadian operation final February, Canadian entrepreneur Doug Putman has acquired 21 former places and can launch a brand new residence retailer chain referred to as Rooms + Spaces.
Earlier than going out of enterprise over the winter, BBB’s Canadian division operated 54 Mattress Tub & Past places and 11 buybuy Child shops.
“The creation of a brand new residence model was a pure addition to my retail portfolio, which now offers consumers with all the pieces they want throughout the newborn, toy and residential classes,” he stated.
Putman’s retail portfolio contains Toys”R”Us and Infants”R”Us Canada, Dawn Information, Alex Manufacturers (together with Alex Toys within the US), T.Kettle, and hmv within the UK, amongst others.
