A case for allegedly “selling enmity between totally different teams” was registered in opposition to Aligarh Muslim College alumnus Sharjeel Usmani in Pune on Tuesday over his speech on the latest Elgar Parishad conclave.
The opposition BJP in Maharashtra had demanded motion in opposition to Mr Usmani, accusing him of “hurting non secular sentiments”.
