The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday (June 25, 2025) mentioned it has arrested three accused, together with a brother of the Sub Submit Grasp (SPM), Lakhaoti, Sub-Submit Workplace, Bulandshahr and two non-public people in a case associated to a faux postage stamp rip-off price round ₹2.5 crore.

The three arrested people are Pappu Singh, Rajesh Kumar and Mahendra Kumar.

“CBI had registered a case on 19.12.2024 on the premise of a grievance dated 11.12.2024 made by the Postal Division, Bulandshahr Division, U.P., towards two accused, together with the then Sub-Submit Grasp (SPM), Lakhaoti, Sub-Submit Workplace, Bulandshahr and a non-public individual and different unknown public servants and personal individuals, on allegations that the accused public servant (now deceased) in legal conspiracy with the accused non-public individual and different unknown individuals is concerned in legal misconduct through the use of faux postage stamps,” reads a press release by the CBI.

“In the course of the investigation, the CBI gathered substantial proof towards the accused individuals and arrested two accused on 24.06.2025. Additional, yet one more accused was arrested on 25.06.2025 in reference to the alleged offence. All three arrested accused had been produced earlier than the Court docket,” added the assertion by the CBI.
