China Set to Launch Spacecraft to Potentially Send Astronauts on the Moon


China mentioned Tuesday it’ll launch a brand new spacecraft at 6pm (1000 GMT), in a check of its ambitions to function a everlasting house station and ship astronauts to the Moon.

The new massive service rocket — Long March 5B — is predicted to make its maiden flight from the Wenchang launch website within the southern island of Hainan, the China Manned Space Agency mentioned in an announcement.

Long March 5B is meant to someday transport astronauts to an area station that China plans to finish by 2022, and ultimately to the Moon.

The United States is to this point the one nation to have been capable of ship people to the Moon.
