China skipped a confidential G20 assembly held in India on Sunday, sources stated. The assembly was held in Itanagar, the capital metropolis of Arunachal Pradesh, a northeastern state that China claims is part of Tibet. India has rejected such claims previously and maintains Arunachal is its integral half.
Over 50 delegates attended the assembly, which is among the many dozens of occasions deliberate throughout 50 main cities forward of the G20 summit in Delhi in September. India at present holds the G20 presidency.
It’s unclear if China has formally lodged a protest with India over the assembly.
Neither Overseas ministry nor China has commented on it.
