Centre had earlier said that just one check-in bag and 1 hand bag per passenger should be allowed
New Delhi:
The Civil Aviation Ministry has permitted airways to determine baggage limitations for home passenger flights, said an official order.
When the home passenger flights resumed on Could 25 after a spot of two months because of the coronavirus pandemic, the ministry had said that just one check-in baggage and one hand baggage per passenger should be allowed.
In an order dated September 23, 2020, the ministry stated the “baggage limitation could be as per airways’ insurance policies”.
“The matter with regard to check-in baggage has been reviewed based mostly on the suggestions/inputs acquired from the involved stakeholders,” the ministry famous.
At the moment, airways are permitted to function no more than 60 per cent of their pre-Covid home flights.
