Defence Minister’s Flight Among 11 Diverted After Rain In Delhi: Report


The climate division has predicted thunderstorms with gusty winds on Saturday.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s flight is amongst a minimum of 11 flights that had been diverted from the Delhi airport on Friday night after heavy rain and thunderstorm within the nationwide capital and surrounding areas, information company ANI has reported.

Some flights had been diverted to Lucknow and Jaipur with flight operations hit in Delhi.

Delhi Airport authorities have suggested passengers to get in contact with the airways for up to date flight data.

“Attributable to unhealthy climate, flight operations at Delhi Airport are affected. Passengers are requested to get in contact with the airline involved for up to date flight data,” Delhi Airport posted on its official Twitter deal with.

The rain, which began within the afternoon after which picked up tempo late night, supplied much-needed respite from the sweltering warmth within the nationwide capital. 

Many residents took to social media to share photos and movies as rains battered the dry and dusty roads.

Earlier on Thursday, the utmost temperature rose to 43.6 levels, three levels above regular, at Safdarjung, the town’s base climate station.
