Delhi Earthquake: Strong Tremors For Many Seconds After 4.6 Magnitude Quake In Haryana


Earthquake in the present day: The tremors have been felt for a lot of seconds prompting folks to hurry out of their homes

New Delhi:

A medium-intensity earthquake of magnitude 4.6 struck close to Delhi on Friday, prompting folks to hurry out of their houses.

The epicentre of the earthquake was close to Rohtak in Haryana, in keeping with India’s National Center for Seismology.

The earthquake struck at 9:08 pm at a depth of 5 km, the company mentioned,

A second quake of magnitude 2.9 additionally struck at 10 pm.

Strong tremors have been felt in Delhi and surrounding areas for a number of seconds.

Rohtak is round 65 km from Delhi.

Social media was abuzz with folks reporting the quake, immediately sending #Earthquake to the highest of the tendencies.

“My table, bed and ceiling fan were shaking violently. Even my wall mounted TV shook a lot. The tremors lasted almost 7-8 seconds” Kunal Oberoi, a resident of Gurgaon, instructed NDTV.

Delhi has reported two earthquakes earlier this month, a magnitude 3.Four on May 10 and a couple of.2 on May 15.
