Sampat Pal, the founding father of the well-known ‘Gulabi Gang’ group that fights violence in opposition to girls, has give up the Congress forward of the Uttar Pradesh elections after she was denied a ticket.
Holding the state Congress leaders and the observers instantly liable for denying her the ticket, Ms Pal mentioned she’s going to communicate to the highest management of the Congress in New Delhi concerning the “inner politicking”.
Ms Pal had unsuccessfully contested the meeting polls from Mau-Manikpur seat on the Congress ticket within the 2012 and 2017 polls.
Whereas she secured solely 2,203 votes within the 2012 polls, she bought 40,524 votes in 2017.
This time the Congress changed her with Ranjana Bhartilal Pandey.
