The India Meteorological Division (IMD) in a bulletin on July 25, 2025, forecasted heavy to extraordinarily heavy rainfall until July 31 in a number of areas in West Bengal owing to a despair over coastal West Bengal and adjoining areas of Northwest Bay of Bengal and Bangladesh.
