The Narcotics Management Bureau’s (NCB) Delhi vigilance crew, probing the pay-off allegations within the Cordelia cruise medication case during which Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan is an accused, has summoned impartial witness Prabhakar Sail on Monday for recording his assertion, an official stated on Sunday.
He stated the NCB issued summons to Sail on Sunday. He has been directed to seem earlier than the vigilance crew at 2 PM on Monday.
The official stated the vigilance crew comprising seven officers will attain Mumbai on Monday morning from Delhi. The crew will report the assertion of Sail on the Central Reserve Police Drive’s (CRPF) mess in suburban Bandra.
Sail, who claims to be the bodyguard of NCB witness KP Gosavi, had final month claimed in an affidavit that he had heard Gosavi discussing a Rs 25 crore pay-off deal after Aryan Khan was arrested by the NCB. Sail claimed that Gosavi had stated that Rs 8 crore of the deal cash was to be given to NCB Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede.
Sail’s allegations had prompted the NCB to order a vigilance inquiry in opposition to NCB officers and others.
Mr Wankhede had denied the allegations in opposition to him.
Final month, the vigilance crew, headed by NCB Deputy Director Normal (northern area) Gyaneshwar Singh, had come to Mumbai to probe the allegations of extortion however didn’t report Sail’s assertion. Mr Singh can be the chief vigilance officer (CVO) of the federal anti-narcotics company.
Earlier than leaving for Delhi, the crew had recorded statements of eight individuals, together with Mr Wankhede, and picked up some essential paperwork and recordings associated to the cruise medication case, an official had stated.
