Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Saturday hit out at politicisation of all crimes and actions of an elected authorities, saying they’re the most important threats to peace and growth of the nation.
The Chief Minister stated this whereas attending the NITI Aayog’s Governing Council assembly.
“Each crime is being politicised; each motion of an elected authorities is being seen from a ballot angle. This sort of an environment is likely one of the greatest threats to the tempo of growth and peace within the nation.
“It’s excessive time the nation will get out of this election mode and permits elected governments to perform,” Mr Patnaik stated.
Noting that the hallmark of a mature democracy is that when elected, governments are supposed to work for individuals past the occasion line, the chief minister stated, “It’s time we as a rustic have severe introspection on whether or not we’re capable of do the identical”.
