The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has to date established 65 Export Facilitation Centres (EFCs) throughout the nation to assist the MSMEs in enhancing their export capabilities.
This was revealed in a written reply by Union Minister of State for MSMEs Shobha Karandlaje, in response to a query raised by MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) in Parliament.
The Union Minister acknowledged that these EFCs help MSMEs by offering consciousness about export schemes, conducting coaching programmes, and supporting documentation processes. The assist had steadily grown over time, with 2,865 MSMEs benefiting in 2022–23, 4,727 in 2023–24, and three,630 in 2024–25.
In Andhra Pradesh alone, 50 MSMEs obtained assist by way of the EFCs throughout 2024–25, Ms. Karandlaje mentioned, and highlighted that these centres steadily performed coaching programmes and workshops to lift consciousness and put together MSMEs for worldwide markets.
A complete of 127 programmes have been held in 2022–23, 186 in 2023–24, and 180 in 2024–25. One such coaching programme was held in Andhra Pradesh throughout 2024–25.
Notably, these centres function with none particular fund allocation, functioning as an alternative by way of the present discipline workplaces of the Ministry. Whereas no separate statistics are maintained for export volumes, the Minister emphasised that the EFCs have been considerably contributing to enhancing the competitiveness and capability of the MSMEs within the export sector.
