A five-year-old lady was raped and bludgeoned to loss of life allegedly by her cousin brother, additionally a minor, in Chhattisgarh’s Jashpur district, police stated on Sunday.
The incident passed off on July 24 when the lady accompanied the accused to a forest close to their village beneath Bagicha police station space for grazing of livestsock, an official stated.
When the lady didn’t return house, her family members launched a seek for her. They approached the police after failing to hint her, he stated.
The accused boy advised police that he raped the lady after which killed her by smashing her head with a stone. He then threw the sufferer’s physique in a waterfall and returned house, the official stated.
The physique has been recovered from the forest and the boy was detained, he stated.
The accused has been booked beneath sections 376 (Punishment for rape) and 302 (Punishment for homicide) of the Indian Penal Code and beneath the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, the official stated.
