Former ICC elite umpire Asad Rauf now sells garments and sneakers in a store in Pakistan. Throughout a latest interview, Rauf, who umpired in 170 video games from 2000 to 2013, mentioned that he’s no extra occupied with cricket and is operating the store for his workers not for himself. It’s value noting that the umpire was banned in 2016 by the BCCI after he was discovered responsible of corrupt practices and disrupting the sport. “Mr Asad Rauf has been banned for a interval of 5 years from umpiring or taking part in or representing cricket in any type or anyway being related to the actions of the Board and its Associates,” the BCCI had the mentioned in an announcement in 2016.
Rauf was accused of accepting presents from bookies and was allegedly concerned within the 2013 IPL spot fixing scandal.

After which after I began out as an umpire, I mentioned to myself that I would like to achieve the height right here as properly… I’ve no greed. I’ve seen some huge cash, and I’ve seen the world,” mentioned Rauf.
