Fuel Prices Rise By 80 Paise For Second Consecutive Day


The resumption of gas value hikes has fanned issues of stoking inflation

New Delhi:

The retail value of petrol and diesel on Wednesday was elevated by 80 paise every in Delhi for the second consecutive day.

A litre of petrol in Delhi will now value RS 97.01, whereas diesel value has been raised to Rs 88.27.

Petrol and diesel costs have been on Tuesday hiked by 80 paise a litre every whereas home cooking fuel LPG charges have been elevated by Rs 50 per cylinder as state oil corporations ended an over four-and-half month hiatus in fee revision.

Whereas LPG charges have been final revised on October 6, 2021, petrol and diesel costs had been on a freeze since November 4 as 5 states, together with Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, went to the polls.

LPG costs had gone up by near Rs 100 per cylinder between July and October 6, 2021, triggering criticism.
