Gas leak blast in Hyderabad’s Medchal market kills one, injures two

A person was killed and two others have been injured after a fuel leak triggered an explosion in a residence within the Medchal market space late on Monday (August 4, 2025) night time.

In accordance with Medchal Inspector A. Satyanarayana, the incident was reported round 10 p.m. in a cramped room behind a row of shutters, the place 56-year-old Tirupatamma resides. “She had switched on the fuel range to cook dinner when the leaked fuel exploded,” the officer mentioned.

The identities of the pedestrians are but to be established.
