The Hollywood award season formally kickstarted with the 82nd version of the Golden Globes, held on the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, US, on January 5, 2025.
Pop sensations and fan favorite Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande have been nominated within the class of Greatest Efficiency by a Feminine Actor in a Supporting Position in Any Movement Image.
Whereas Selena Gomez was nominated for the awards-circuit favorite Emilia Perez, Ariana Grande secured a nomination for Depraved. However, the actresses did not win the award.
Zoe Saldana gained the award for Greatest Supporting Feminine Actor for Emilia Perez.
In her acceptance speech, Zoe hailed the “energy, complexity and simple expertise” of co-stars Selena Gomez and Karla Sofia Gascon, in addition to director Jacques Audiard.
Whereas Selena and Ariana did not win the award, they turned the speaking level for different causes.
Selena and her fiance made the primary public look collectively after their engagement final month. The couple shared mushy moments on the pink carpet, even sealed the second with a kiss, in accordance with experiences. Selena additionally confirmed her large engagement ring. For the evening, she channeled her Disney world vibes in a Prada blue satin column costume.
Selena’s movie Solely Murders within the Constructing was nominated within the class of Greatest Tv Sequence – Musical or Comedy.
Ariana Grande’s Depraved gained the award for Cinematic and Field Workplace Achievement. Ariana Grande let her outfit do the speaking. She wore a pale yellow archival Givenchy robe with a beaded bodice.
Emilia Perez, which was main the nominations with 10 nods, ended up with 4 awards. It gained awards for the Greatest Movement Image (Musical/Comedy), Greatest Non-English Language Movie and Greatest Unique Tune. Zoe Saldana gained the Greatest Supporting Actor award for Emilia Perez.
