The federal government has ordered a probe into the incident of an Ola electrical scooter catching fireplace in Pune final week.
The Centre for Hearth Explosive and Setting Security (CFEES) has been requested to probe the circumstances that led to the incident and likewise recommend remedial measures, based on the Ministry of Highway Transport and Highways (MoRTH).
In a letter to CFEES, the ministry has additionally requested it to share the findings together with the remedial measures for enchancment and to forestall such incidents sooner or later.
On Saturday, Ola Electrical mentioned it was investigating the incident of its electrical scooter catching fireplace in Pune and that it might take acceptable motion.
A video of the corporate’s electrical scooter catching fireplace was broadly circulated on social media with customers elevating questions over the security requirements of the car.
Reacting to the incident, Ola co-founder and CEO Bhavish Aggarwal had mentioned, “Security is prime precedence. We’re investigating this and can repair it”.
The Centre for Hearth Explosive and Setting Security (CFEES) comes underneath the SAM (System Evaluation and Modelling) cluster of DRDO labs.
