The Maharashtra authorities on Monday informed the Bombay Excessive Courtroom that in November 2020 it had submitted to the state Governor the names of 12 individuals to be nominated as members of the Legislative Council, however he’s but to take a choice on the identical.

“The Governor has to train this energy of nomination strictly in accordance with the help and recommendation of the Council of Ministers,” the affidavit mentioned.
It mentioned that on November 6, 2020, the Maharashtra Chief Minister, with the help and recommendation of the Council of Ministers, had submitted the names and particulars of 12 people to be nominated as MLCs.
