CLARKESVILLE, Ga. — Founding father of Habersham Furnishings, Joyce Edwards Money Eddy, died at her residence on Oct. 24, 2024, on the age of 95.
Born on Oct. 4, 1929, in Ravenna, Ohio, to William and Cora Mae Money, Eddy based Habersham Furnishings in 1972 in Clarkesville. The corporate grew from an area artisan endeavor right into a nationally acknowledged model celebrated for impeccable craftsmanship, basic fashion and enduring high quality.
Eddy was honored in 1984 as Enterprise Lady of the Yr, and in 1986, President Ronald Reagan acknowledged her as Georgia Enterprise Lady of the Yr throughout a White Home briefing for girls entrepreneurs.
She retired from Habersham in 2016, entrusting the management of the corporate to her son Matt Eddy, who now guides the household enterprise alongside his personal kids, Brandon and Mallory Eddy.
Eddy is survived by her sister; her two sons, Craig and Matthew; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and plenty of nieces, nephews, mates and prolonged household.
