IRCTC: Railways mentioned solely asymptomatic passengers might be allowed to board trains

The railways on Sunday mentioned it is going to “gradually” restart operations from Tuesday because the nation eases the coronavirus lockdown. A complete of 30 prepare journeys – 15 pairs of return journeys – will run from New Delhi railway station to different cities together with Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai.
“Indian Railways plans to gradually restart passenger train operations from 12th May, 2020… Thereafter, Indian Railways shall start more special services on new routes,” the Railway Ministry mentioned in an announcement. “It will be mandatory for the passengers to wear face cover and undergo screening at departure and only asymptomatic passengers will be allowed to board the train.”

Booking for reservation in these trains will begin from four pm on May 11 (Monday). Tickets could be booked solely on-line via the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) web site or via its cell app. Booking of tickets via brokers (each IRCTC and railway) is just not allowed.
