Congress MP Jairam Ramesh on Friday lashed out towards the Centre over the modification to the Nationwide Flag Code that will enable the manufacture and import of flags manufactured from polyester.
Responding to a tweet by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the nationwide flag, Ramesh stated, “They’re destroying the livelihood of those that made nationwide flags from khadi.”
It was on today in 1947 that the nationwide flag was adopted.
“He [PM Modi] has been a campaigner for the organisation that took 52 years to hoist the nationwide flag in Nagpur,” Jairam Ramesh stated in what seems to be a reference to the RSS.
