A health care provider in Hyderabad has been arrested after she was allegedly caught shopping for cocaine value Rs 5 lakh, the police mentioned.
Namrata Chigurupati, who resigned because the CEO of the Omega Hospitals six months in the past, was arrested when she was receiving cocaine through courier from a Mumbai-based provider, Vansh Dhakkar.
She was caught together with Dhakkar’s aide, Balakrishna, who was delivering the medication.
The police mentioned that 34-year-old Chigurupati contacted Dhakkar through WhatsApp and positioned an order for cocaine value Rs 5 lakh. She transferred the quantity on-line.
“A medical practitioner, Namrata, had ordered medication from Vansh in Mumbai, who was identified to her. An individual known as Balakrishna then got here to provide (the medication) and handed them over to her at Rayadurgam,” senior police officer Venkanna mentioned.
“Police tracked and caught them. Rs 10,000 money, 53 grams of cocaine and two cell telephones had been seized from them,” he added.
Circumstances underneath related sections have been registered towards them, they usually have been despatched to judicial custody, Mr Venkanna mentioned.
Throughout interrogation, she reportedly confessed to spending about Rs 70 lakh on medication over time.
