New Delhi: India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have formally launched negotiations for a Complete Financial Partnership Settlement (CEPA), Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal mentioned on Wednesday. The primary spherical of CEPA talks shall be held from Thursday (September 23). “Either side will goal to conclude negotiations by December 2021 and signal a proper settlement in March 2022,” Ministry of Commerce & Trade acknowledged in a notification.
This was communicated at a joint briefing by Mr Goyal and his UAE counterpart Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi. “India and the UAE will maintain talks geared toward enhancing bilateral financial relations, together with increasing the prevailing commerce and funding relationship,” the ministry added.
