Born in Inrinjalakuda in 1948, Harmless entered the movie business in 1972 with the film ‘Nrityashala’ starring Prem Nazir and Jayabharathi. He additionally served because the president of the Affiliation of Malayalam Film Artists (AMMA), a guild of Malayalam artists for 12 consecutive years.
