Japanese digital components maker TDK Corp will manufacture lithium ion (li-ion) battery cells for Apple iPhone fashions in India, a minister mentioned on Monday.

Cells manufactured on the facility shall be equipped to Apple’s li-ion battery assembler Sunwoda Electronics, the report added.
Apple and TDK Corp didn’t instantly reply to Reuters’ request for remark.
