Decide Money Rip-off: Former Lawyer Normal Mukul Rohatgi questions the judiciary’s authority over judicial nominations and argues for the revival of the Nationwide Judicial nominations Fee (NJAC) in a frank dialogue with Arnab Goswami. Citing Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s warning towards granting “absolute energy to at least one particular person,” Rohatgi contends that the present collegium construction is opaque and unaccountable to the folks. He notes that the government-supervised judicial appointment system operated successfully between 1950 and 1975 till the Emergency upset the equilibrium.
