Greater than two months after 18 BJP MLAs had been suspended from the Karnataka Legislative Meeting for six months, Speaker U T Khader on Sunday stated their suspension has been revoked.
The choice was introduced by Mr Khader after a gathering with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister D Ok Shivakumar, Chief of Opposition R Ashoka, and Regulation and Parliamentary Affairs Minister H Ok Patil.
In an unprecedented transfer, 18 BJP MLAs had been suspended for six months from the meeting on March 21 for displaying “indiscipline” and “disrespecting” the Speaker, and had been forcefully evicted from the Home by the marshals as they refused to depart.
Mr Khader stated, “Although I proposed the suspension, the Home gave its approval by means of a decision. So, right this moment the chief of the Home and Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Regulation Minister and Chief of the Opposition mentioned with me.
