A 75-year-old man died when the roof of his home collapsed on account of heavy in a single day rains in Ramadurg in Belagavi district of Karnataka.
Vaman Rao Bapu Pawar, 75, was asleep in his home close to the Mahadev temple in Ningapur Pet when the roof collapsed round 4 a.m. on August 20. He was caught underneath the particles and died of suffocation.
Officers of the hearth and emergency service and police personnel reached the spot, and pulled out the physique.
Police Sub-Inspector Savita Munyala visited the spot.
A case has been registered.
