Famend Telugu lyricist Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry died on Tuesday. The 66-year-old lyricist, who was awarded the Padma Shri in 2019, reportedly died of lung most cancers. After the information of Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry’s demise, Twitter was deluged with tributes for the late lyricist from members of south movie trade. Actor Venkatesh Daggubati provided his condolences to Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry’s household and wrote: “Disheartened to listen to that Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry garu is not any extra. Deepest condolences to his family members. Could his soul relaxation in peace.” Actor Jr NTR tweeted: “The information that Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry was no extra made me very upset. Though his pen, written by Aluperugaka, continues to be standing at present, the letters he wrote will stay memorable to all so long as the Telugu language exists. I wholeheartedly pray to that God to grant peace to his soul.”

Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry wrote over 2000 songs in his profession. He rose to recognition together with his track Vidhatha Thalapuna for Okay Viswanath’s 1986 movie Sirivennela. He wrote songs for movies like Nuvve Kavali, Okkadu, Varsham, Kshana Kshanam, Swarna Kamalam, Swayamkrushi, Swati Kiranam and Shrutilayalu.
He gained a number of Filmfare Awards and Nandi Awards for his work within the south cinema.
