Rewa, Madhya Pradesh:
A 16-year-old lady was raped and stabbed in her genital allegedly by a 22-year-old man in Rewa in Madhya Pradesh and her situation is essential, police mentioned on Monday.
The prime accused – Ankit Rawat – has been arrested whereas his confederate Vanshpati Rawat, 27, is on the run, mentioned Superintendent of Police Rakesh Singh.
“The 2 males kidnapped the lady on Thursday when she was getting back from a celebration. Ankit raped her and stabbed her in her personal half. She has been admitted to a hospital and her situation is essential,” the Superintendent of Police mentioned.
The 2 accused have been charged with rape and different offences beneath the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and beneath the Safety of Youngsters from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, he added.
