A complete of 18,751 households in Mahad and Poladpur talukas in Raigad district have been affected by flooding and different rain-related incidents on July 22 and 23, a district official stated on Monday.
As per the survey accomplished by the state income division, 18,000 households belong to Mahad and 751 to Poladpur, whereas 562 farmers have additionally incurred losses attributable to flooding, he stated.
“Whereas 30 homes in Mahad and eight homes in Poladpur are totally broken, the variety of partially broken houses stands at 8,121 in Mahad and 552 in Poladpur. A complete of 28 cattle shelters have been destroyed. To date, 3,082 households have obtained reduction from the state authorities by means of rice, wheat and kerosene” the official stated.
