A 22-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a one-and-half-year-old toddler woman of his neighbourhood, police stated on Tuesday.
In keeping with the police, Ravi Rai (22), a resident of the Vishnupura space of Kushinagar district used to usually play with a one-and-half-year-old woman.
On Monday night, he got here to the kid’s place and took her to his home, telling her relations that he’ll get her sweets and toys.
When he didn’t return even after two hours, the relations went to the person’s home and inquired in regards to the woman, however she was not there, they stated.
The relations subsequently knowledgeable the police.
Throughout police interrogation, he admitted raping the newborn woman.

On the written grievance of the relations, police registered a case towards the person beneath the Indian Penal Code and Safety of Youngsters from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
“We acquired data {that a} 22-year-old man took a child woman on the pretext of shopping for her sweets and toys, and raped her,” Extra Superintendent of Police Ritesh Kumar Singh stated.
Police have arrested the accused and the newborn woman is present process therapy at a hospital, he stated Police have initiated a probe and are investigating the case with totally different angles, the ASI added.
