NEW YORK — A person in Pennsylvania is being questioned in connection to the homicide of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York City, police sources inform CBS News New York. 

A supply near the investigation stated that an individual of curiosity was being questioned about Thompson’s homicide after Pennsylvania authorities took him into custody on an unrelated incident in Altoona. 

The particular person being questioned was in possession of a gun with a silencer and a pretend New Jersey driver’s license, sources stated.  

After Thompson was fatally shot exterior the Hilton Midtown lodge on Dec. 4, police recognized an individual of curiosity who they stated had used a pretend New Jersey ID to check into a hostel on Manhattan’s Higher West Facet.

Police haven’t confirmed if the person being questioned is identical particular person of curiosity seen on the hostel. 

Over the weekend, NYPD continued to search Central Park for clues, particularly the weapon used to to kill Thompson, however have been unsuccessful.
