A married man and his accomplices on Saturday threw acid on his alleged girlfriend, enraged over her impending marriage to a different individual, police right here stated.
The 25-year-old girl, who was making ready for her tilak ceremony on Could 23 and marriage ceremony on Could 27, sustained 60 per cent burns within the assault, which passed off in Ghosi Kotwali space of Mau district, they stated.
