Meesho files criminal complaints against fraudulent users


Social commerce platform Meesho has filed legal complaints towards fraudulent users who’ve despatched unconsented orders to their clients, cofounder Vidit Aatrey wrote on microblogging platform Twitter on Wednesday.

“We’ve got a no-tolerance coverage in direction of any misuse on the Meesho platform,” Aatrey wrote. He added that the corporate will work with native authorities to deliver the “perpetrators to justice.”

Meesho has filed complaints in each Kolkata and Bangalore,
it announced in a blog post. The corporate claims that unconsented orders account for under 0.01% of its complete order quantity, which in accordance with Aatrey is in thousands and thousands per day.

The corporate may also implement measures on the backend to keep away from any recurrence sooner or later, it stated.
