Meta announces launch of APAC’s ‘largest capacity subsea cable’ in 2028 – The Economic Times

US tech large Meta has introduced the launch of the most important capability subsea cable within the Asia-Pacific area, known as Candle, in 2028.

Candle will span roughly 8,000 kilometres, bringing elevated connectivity to Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, the corporate stated in an announcement.

The mission will supply a capability of round 570 terabits per second (Tbps), serving over 580 million individuals, in response to the corporate.
