Mobile Phone, Belt, Watch: Here’s What is Banned in Ram Mandir Area in Ayodhya


Mobile telephones have been completely banned within the Ram Janmabhoomi advanced space in Ayodhya.

The resolution was taken on Sunday by the district administration in session with the members of the Shri Ram Teerth Kshetra Trust.

Earlier, throughout the shifting of the Ram Lalla idol from the makeshift temple to the brand new construction, clergymen and employees had been allowed to hold their cellphones.

Under the brand new pointers, solely district officers and safety personnel shall be allowed cellphones within the space.

Trust secretary Champat Rai mentioned that the choice has been taken in view of safety issues.

“Devotees have been taking pictures of the temple and the adjoining area which is a major security risk,” he identified.

It could also be recalled that cellphones, cameras, watches, belts and any digital devices had been banned within the Ram Janmabhoomi advanced that home the makeshift temples.

However, cellphones had been allowed when the idol was shifted to the brand new construction.

Meanwhile, the chief priest of the Ram Lalla temple, Acharya Satyendra Das, has welcomed the choice to ban cellphones.

“The Ram temple area is a high security zone and any move to strengthen the security is welcome. Even I do not carry my mobile phone into the temple area,” he mentioned.
