The Ministry of Housing and City Affairs (MoHUA) has authorised Andhra Pradesh’s proposal for establishing Municipal Shared Service Centres (MSSCs), recommending a grant of ₹50 crore below the fifteenth Finance Fee.
The primary instalment of ₹25 crore had been launched, the State authorities introduced on Thursday.
The initiative, pushed by the Municipal Administration & City Growth (MA&UD) Division, goals to remodel service supply throughout 123 City Native Our bodies (ULBs) by pooling sources, leveraging know-how, and enhancing monetary sustainability.
Principal Secretary S. Suresh Kumar described the mission as a “blueprint for contemporary municipal governance,” aligned with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s Swarna Andhra-2047 imaginative and prescient.
The MSSC mannequin will centralise finance, payroll, procurement, and authorized providers, whereas digitising property tax, certificates, and utility administration via GIS mapping, drone surveys, and a singular ‘One Family–One QR Code’ system.
