New Delhi:
Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Thursday took exception to being known as ‘maharaj’ by Congress chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and stated “my title is Jyotiraditya Scindia”.
This got here after Mr Chowdhury addressed the Civil Aviation Minister as ‘maharaj’ twice within the Lok Sabha whereas asking a query pertaining to some airport initiatives in West Bengal through the Query Hour.
“The matter is that one ‘maharaj’ is a minister, one other ‘maharaj’ Air India, now privatisation is going on,” the Congress chief, subsequently, stated taking a dig at Mr Scindia, who joined BJP quitting Congress in 2020.
In his reply, Mr Scindia first thanked the Congress chief for asking the query.
“And, I wish to inform him that my title is Jyotiraditya Scindia. Maybe, he has some misunderstanding, and hold speaking about my previous many times. However I wish to inform him,” the minister stated.
