At the least 18 individuals, principally girls and kids, died and dozens have been injured in a stampede at New Delhi Railway Station on Saturday evening. Among the many victims have been 9 individuals from Bihar, eight from Delhi and one from Haryana.

Injured individuals have been present process remedy on the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital and Woman Hardinge Hospital.
The LNJP hospital has launched helpline numbers: +919873617028 and 011-23501207.
A monetary help of Rs 10 lakh has been introduced for the victims’ households, Rs 2.5 lakh for these severely injured, and Rs 1 lakh for minor accidents.
Stampede At New Delhi Railway Station
The stampede on the New Delhi Railway Station occurred when lots of of passengers have been ready to board trains for Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj to attend the continued Maha Kumbh.
A senior railway official stated the incident occurred after some passengers slipped and fell on others whereas coming down from a footover bridge.
President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have grieved the deaths.
“Deeply anguished to know concerning the lack of lives in a stampede at New Delhi Railway station. I prolong my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved households and pray for a speedy restoration of these injured,” President Murmu stated in a put up on X.
PM Modi stated he was “distressed” by the stampede on the New Delhi Railway Station.
“My ideas are with all those that have misplaced their family members. I pray that the injured have a speedy restoration. The authorities are helping all those that have been affected by this stampede,” he stated.
