A newly-married inter-caste couple was murdered close to Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu on Monday night.
Two males, the girl’s brother and a relative, have been arrested for double murder.
In keeping with the police, the girl was in a relationship with the relative however ended up marrying one other man. The girl’s brother reportedly invited the couple over the place he and the opposite relative murdered them.
The girl belonged to Scheduled Caste whereas her husband belonged to Most Backward Caste. Investigators, nonetheless, say that this isn’t a case of disohonour killing.
