The Republic Day parade subsequent 12 months can be held on the refurbished Rajpath because the redevelopment work of the Central Vista Avenue, stretching from Rashtrapati Bhavan to India Gate, is predicted to be accomplished by this November, officers mentioned on Friday.
Union Housing and City Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, who reviewed the standing of ongoing building works, mentioned residents will get an avenue that they are going to be pleased with.
“Reviewed the standing of ongoing building works of Central Vista Avenue venture with the secretary of the Ministry of Housing and City Affairs, officers of ministry and CPWD, contractor and architect Bimal Patel. The progress to date is passable and on schedule. Residents will get an avenue they are going to be pleased with,” he tweeted.
An official within the ministry mentioned that the Rajpath redevelopment venture contains large-scale stonework, building of underpasses, underground facilities blocks and horticulture work and adequate house for parking.
“Twelve bridges on synthetic ponds are being constructed. Folks visiting Rajpath can have a tremendous expertise. The redevelopment of the Central Vista Avenue can be accomplished by November and the Republic Day parade subsequent 12 months can be held on the newly-developed Rajpath,” the official mentioned.
Infrastructure agency Shapoorji Pallonji and Firm Personal Restricted has been executing the venture as a part of the federal government’s bold Central Vista redevelopment venture.
The redevelopment venture of the Central Vista — the nation’s energy hall — envisages a brand new triangular Parliament constructing, a standard central secretariat, revamping of the three-km-long Rajpath, from Rashtrapati Bhavan to India Gate, new prime minister residence and PMO, and new Vice President Enclave.
