NLC India Ltd (NLCIL) organised a mass cleanliness drive in Neyveli city on Thursday as a part of the Swachhata Hello Seva marketing campaign.
In response to a press launch, the cleanliness drive was organised to mark Mahatma Gandhi’s delivery anniversary. Senior officers of NLCIL, staff, contract employees, stakeholders, and youngsters from varied colleges in Neyveli participated.
Pamphlets have been additionally distributed throughout the cleanliness drive to lift consciousness concerning the segregation and disposal of biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste and ban on utilization of single-use plastics.
Launching the marketing campaign, Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director of NLCIL mentioned the Swachhata Mission, launched in 2017 by the Prime Minister represented a transformative section in India’s sanitation programme.
NLCIL has been constant in its efforts in the direction of “Swachh India” and had received the primary prize amongst coal Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) within the marketing campaign over the last two years. The marketing campaign launched on September 16 included varied actions together with blood donation camp, mass tree plantation, coaching for aspiring youth and a rural sports activities meet.
