The Telecom division has determined to rule out the usage of Chinese gear within the upgradation of the 4G gear of the state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited or BSNL. Sources within the authorities stated the ministry has determined to “firmly tell BSNL” to not use Chinese gear in view if safety points.
The division has additionally determined to transform the tender on this regard, sources stated.
The division can be contemplating asking non-public cell service operators to scale back their dependence on gear made by Chinese companies.
