The Delhi unit of the BJP alleged that Mr Yadav was thrashed by AAP staff on the cost of promoting tickets.
Shortly after, the MLA tweeted, rubbishing the BJP allegations.
“The BJP has gone berserk. It’s making baseless allegations of promoting tickets. I’m at Chhawla police station now. I’ve seen the BJP’s corporator and BJP’s candidate from this ward current within the police station to save lots of these folks (his attackers). What is usually a larger proof than this? Arvind Kejriwal, who’s campaigning in Gujarat for the approaching meeting elections, dismissed the claims.
“The BJP releases ‘manohar kahaniyan’ (referring to a preferred journal of fictional tales) daily. It comes up with a sting operation. The folks of Delhi are asking what they did within the municipal company (MCD) for 15 years and so they don’t have any reply. The folks of Gujarat are asking what they did in 27 years and so they don’t have any reply,” Mr Kejriwal instructed reporters.
AAP has been holding an upbeat marketing campaign, hoping to seize energy in Delhi’s civic polls. The social gathering is banking on anti-incumbency after three consecutive phrases of the BJP. From rubbish removing to well timed salaries for MCD staff, Mr Kejriwal has introduced “10 ensures”.
