A famous tiger conservationist and his pal have been assaulted in Karnataka on Monday. DV Girish and his pal have been attacked in Chikmagalur district once they have been travelling via a reserve forest within the night. Three individuals have been arrested.

A video of the assault exhibits a bunch of younger males surrounding the activist and slapping him. His pal, who received out of a four-wheeler, too was slapped and hit by the lads.

Mr Girish and his pal have been accompanied by the latter’s 17-year-old daughter.

“They handed lewd feedback towards the minor woman. We objected and moved on,” Mr Girish informed NDTV.

He stated the lads adopted them for 3 km after which they took out stones, blocked their automobile and stared beating them. The lads drove slowly and have been drunk, he stated. The incident passed off at round 5:30 pm.

“Villagers intervened and we approached the police.”

The arrests have been made after the activist filed a police criticism. Three accused individuals have been arrested up to now. Three to 4 individuals are nonetheless lacking and can be secured quickly,” stated police officer Akshay MH.
